Clear Insight

by Yogi Christopher

Consciousness is nothing but a mirror.

It is that which reflects whatever arises in our experience.

When we try to deny, change or look away from what consciousness shows us, we try to bury those experiences, as repressed emotions, as deeply within the unconscious mind as we are determined not to experience something “as it is”; inevitably bubbling up through the layers of the sub-conscious mind as irrational fears and delusions.

In other words, we become naively ignorant.

The experience of awareness is mind.

Awareness is the light of consciousness.

Awakening is completely opening our eyes to the light of awareness. Bodhi is Sanskrit for awakening and sattva is being.

Letting awareness grow unhindered is the practice of a bodhisattva, i.e. any being conscious of awakening and dedicated to its fruition.

Itʼs fulfillment is the fullest expression of enlightenment possible.

The many distractions that pull us away from this clear insight are what we, as bodhisattvas, must practice letting go of.

Naturally, as inherently social creatures, we are strongest when we can work together, without hesitation or mental reservation.

Finally, perfecting wisdom and clearly seeing awareness in ourselves, we see that very same awareness in everything else, resting in the spontaneous expression of unconditional love.

This has been a clear insight regarding how wisdom and compassion are intrinsically bound.

May it be of benefit!
